First time there and had a great time, good mixture of ages, as its a student town I thought it would be full of young guys but happily it had all ages and all friendly not clicky like some places. The place is large so plenty of room to move around, there's a pool outside on the terrace which is perfect also a smoking area unlike other places. The guys on reception were so welcoming but I couldn't persuade the smaller guy to come and join me hahaha.

Positives: free parking right outside, easy to find, staff were excellent and very welcoming and showed me around as it was my first visit.
Negatives: the place is definitely tired, needs a good gutting and starting again. It was also not very warm, so given you’re just in a towel, the only warm place was the sauna! It’s also a rabbit warren. Two upstairs rooms, each with their own separate staircase. Also downstairs for a jacuzzi pool. I think the main thing I didn’t like about this place was it didn’t feel clean. Old sofa’s, plus material-covered soft furnishings in the private cabins and the play spaces. I would prefer wipe-clean surfaces that you could wipe before you play. I never saw anyone cleaning either.
In upstairs rooms, three rooms all playing porn, but with no sound! In one room the TV seemed to be stuck in the colour blue, so the movie was all blue tinted!
Probably won’t be going back here again. Head to Pink Broadway in Southampton for a much better, cleaner, and warmer experience.

Had a Great time, Friendy staff and generally good service, Mixed bunch generally older still lots of good looking mature guys and some bears to have fun with. Facilities are a bit dated and could do with some reburbishment and the layout isn't great. But overall not a bad place at all.

I am a frequent visitor to Tropics. I always receive a friendly welcome and am made to feel at home. The facilities since the upgrade are very good and the place is well looked after and clean. Best times to go are during the day Mon to Fri and at weekends. I have to say that this is the only establishment I have been to that shows some straight porn videos for us Bi guys to enjoy, as well as the more normal gay porn. And I have as yet never failed to enjoy a 'happy ending' whilst there. Towels, lube and condoms are supplied but the wearing of towels is left up to you. I personally like to be totally nude all the time. All in all a great place.

This is a nice sauna to visit in the summer as a have a lovely hot spy outside on the balcony. The manager is extremely hospitable and will go out of his way to make one feel welcome.
